Otodiva – In an effort to support the acceleration of electric vehicle adoption in Indonesia, Wuling Motors again demonstrated his commitment through participation in the PLN Mobile EVenture event: Explore Holidays with Electric Vehicles. This event aims to introduce the advantages of electric vehicles and ensure the readiness of charging infrastructure along the Jakarta-Bali route ahead of the year-end holiday season.
As part of his participation, Wuling presents three units Cloud EV who successfully completed this journey smoothly and comfortably. Charisman Awangga, Sales Operations Director Wuling Motors, revealed that this event does not only promote electric vehicles, but also educate the public about the ease of charging.
“Our participation reflects our commitment to supporting the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia. Cloud EV proves its ability as an environmentally friendly vehicle that is ideal for long journeys,” he said.
Advanced Technology for Long Distance Travel
Cloud EV, launched in May 2024, designed with spacious cabin space and ergonomic interior design. The Italian Bubble Sofa style seats can be adjusted electrically, creating maximum comfort. This car has a cruising range of up to 460 km with one charge, ensuring travel is much more practical.
Technology Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) equipping the Cloud EV with features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Safe Distance Warning (SDW), dan Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), maintain driver safety during the journey.
Challenging Journey, Infrastructure Ready
The journey starts from PLN Head Office in South Jakarta and ends at Living World Denpasar, Bali. During the long journey 1.357 km from date 3 until 8 December 2024, The group stopped at several strategic charging locations, such as Rest Area KM 57A, KM 207A, KM 379A, and Situbondo.
At the Santika Hotel Banyuwangi, The final filling is done before reaching the finish line. Normal driving mode is used throughout the trip, proving the efficiency and durability of Cloud EV in covering long routes.
Collaboration for a Green Future
This event brings together various stakeholders, including the government, automotive manufacturers, and energy providers, to accelerate the transition to a greener lifestyle. This event is also an educational platform about the benefits of electric vehicles and clean energy, while supporting the reduction of carbon emissions.
The success of Cloud EV in covering the Jakarta-Bali route is clear proof of the reliability of electric vehicles in supporting environmentally friendly long-distance mobility.
