This week Harley Davidson reportedly came up with the idea of a new Street Glide Special equipped with a limited edition paint scheme called Arctic Blast.
From the name it might sound like the name of a refreshing ice cream mix or energy drink, however, Arctic Blast itself is actually a handmade paint scheme done in collaboration with Golden's Gunslinger Custom Paint, Colorado.
Reportedly Harley Davidson will release it 500 example of the special edition, each of which will be numbered to showcase the exclusive nature of this colorful campaign.
Batwing, that, and tanks on Harley Davidson touring models have always given painters a large canvas with which to realize their artistic visions, but the partnership with Gunslinger definitely ups the ante.
Gunslinger himself has been a partner with Harley Davidson for a long time 18 last year and has worked on many CVO models (Custom Vehicle Operations).
To make this limited series explode. the creative team at Gunslinger was tasked with designing a paint scheme that embodies the power and attitude of the Street Glide Special.
Therefore, Gunslinger opted for a blue and white pearl design that incorporates different details such as hand-applied stripes. They also integrated a shaded honeycomb pattern on the front fender and fairing that attracts attention when exposed to light.
Like most Harley Davidson CVOs and other limited edition models, The Arctic Blast Street Glide Special isn't cheap. Prospective buyers must dig into their pockets 38.899 dollars or thereabouts 560 million if they want to own this limited edition motorbike.
