However, This South Korean car manufacturer has planned to limit production of Hyundai Palisade cars in the United States. This is one of the things being considered for direct production of the Hyundai Palisade at Hyundai's Alabama factory in the United States, which also produces other utility vehicles such as the Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fe and now Santa Cruz.
Hyundai has several domestic factories, namely five in Ulsan, one in Asan and one in Jeonju and 10 overseas factories, namely four in China and one each in the United States, Czech Republic, Turki, Russia, India, and Brazil. Their combined capacity reaches 5,5 million vehicles per year. Hyundai shut down most of its overseas factories starting March amid fears of the coronavirus outbreak. All overseas factories resumed operations earlier this month, although not in full production. From January to May, Hyundai sales fell 26 percent be 1.288.629 vehicle from 1.748.911 units a year earlier.
