British car manufacturer MG is embracing the electric future with open arms, it already offers two EVs in the UK & Europe, ie (MG5 and ZS) dan plug-in hybrid (HS). More electric models are on the way from the SAIC Motor-owned brand, including the Marvel R flagship SUV arriving in the fall on the European continent.
Made by SAIC Design, a London-based creative center tasked with exploring new and innovative design proposals for the MG and Roewe brands, Maze studies that aim to open up the concept of mobility experiences to a new generation.
Born from difficult times where we have been limited, because of the Covid19 pandemic, by trying to escape reality in the digital world, MG Maze takes inspiration from gaming and reimagines mobile gaming for the 21st century. MG Maze is the name of the latest futuristic concept car from MG. Through the slogan Get Out & Play, MG enthusiastically wants to invite everyone around the world. This is for those who have a high appreciation for innovation in the automotive world and a love for the world of gaming to enjoy this new experience together. Apart from that, it can be seen from a futuristic design perspective, The concept it offers is very unique and has successfully established MG as a leader in terms of car design and technology innovation.
SAIC Design says the concept car captures the gaming scenario “At home” and convey it in the form of a car. Layout, detail, material, and color “are all driven by this idea to help connect and build communities around mobility activities. Celebrating the real and digital world, This bold design study aims to bring the joy of driving back to electric cars rather than simply exploring the journey from A to B.
In it, MG Maze has a familiar layout for gamers' chairs, controller and screen. The exterior has a pure and emotional surface and is also inspired by gaming, especially by high-tech computers with open components.
The polycarbonate body of this car acts as a good window into the car. Other futuristic details include an open driver layout that offers a full panoramic view of the surroundings, front opening canopy, zero gravity chair design with transparent shell and high-tech fabric cushioning, and a sophisticated interface that covers the entire front of the car.
