The presence of Mr President Joko Widodo was welcomed enthusiastically by MG Motor Indonesia in Hall 3A at GIIAS 2021. During his visit on the seventh day, 17 November 2021, accompanied by a number of Ministers and also the Regent of Tangerang, Mr. President of the Republic of Indonesia glanced at a number of booths. Even a row of Electric Vehicles, which is MG's flagship product, also didn't escape the glances of the number person 1 in Indonesia.
"We are quite happy that our booth was visited and received special attention by representatives of the Indonesian Government on the opening day of GIIAS, Moreover, today it has caught the attention of the President as well. The MG line of pure electric cars is our superior product which has been prepared so that we can immediately realize it in Indonesia, as a form of initiative to support Indonesia's green energy movement for the world," Arief Syarifudin conveyed.
As known, MG has introduced two of its electric cars; MG ZS EV which has a battery capacity of 44.5 kWh and NEDC mileage as far as 335 km was introduced in April 2021 then at IIMs, while this time at GIIAS MG with high confidence is increasingly showing off with the world's first electric estate car, namely MG 5 An EV that has a battery capacity of 50.3 kWh and NEDC mileage 380 km and is the furthest in the EV class currently in Indonesia.
MG remains optimistic that through this introduction, More and more Indonesian consumers will become familiar with the variety of technologies that MG has and will make them interested in immediately switching to environmentally friendly electric cars.
Apart from electric cars, MG also showcased a number of other products that emphasize strength in design and technology. As an example, MG i-SMART technology is a technology that relies on artificial intelligence (AI) which can be controlled with voice command and autonomous driving capabilities that have been embedded in its high-end products, namely MG HS and is ready to make the driving experience of automotive users in Indonesia more enjoyable.
