This man has the name Siswanto, a bonbon merchant, or kitchen spices at Sragen Market, Central Java. This resident from Sragen Kota District finally succeeded in realizing his dream of owning the automatic motorbike he wanted, namely the Yamaha XMAX. Siswanto bought it in cash with denominations he had saved for three years. Apart from Rp 2 thousand, Siswanto also used several other denominations of money to buy the motorbike.
“I was willing and kept trying to save for three years to buy my dream motorbike. Every day I can set aside my sales income, sometimes IDR 5,000 or IDR 10,000, or even Rp. 2,000 per day," explained Siswanto after handing over his savings in cash to a Yamaha motorbike dealer, Famous Motor Sukoharjo, recently.
Since the beginning, the Yamaha Xmax motorbike has been out in Indonesia, Siswanto admitted that he had fallen in love and really liked the motorbike. However, Unfortunately, the price of Rp. 62 million made Siswanto think again and wanted to cancel his intention to buy the motorbike. The determination and strong intentions of the student in the end, he decided to keep saving.
Meanwhile, Head of the Kondang Motor Sukoharjo Branch, Novita Ika Hayuningtyas, said he admitted that this was the first time he had met a consumer who bought a motorbike in cash with payment in rupiah currency whose value varied.
“Nah, What Mr Siswanto did for us was a new experience. How can we calculate money worth Rp 60 millions in cash with various denominations of money which takes up to 3,5 hours to complete the calculation,” said Novita.
From the results of the calculations, There are several types of denominations including Rp 100 thousand, Rp 20 thousand, Rp 10 thousands of Rp 5 thousands to Rp 2 thousand.
“The total amount of money we received was in Rp 2.000 reach very large numbers, Rp 20 millions. This proves that Mr Siswanto is very diligent and has a strong determination to save,” explained Novita.
