PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk predicts the peak of backflow towards Jabotabek in the context of the Eid al-Fitr holiday 1443 H falls on H+5 or on a weekday (08/05). The prediction for the number of vehicles returning to Jabotabek on that day is as many as 269.444 vehicle, naik 53,6% from normal traffic for the November period 2021.
Quoting from DetikOto, The predicted figure is the cumulative traffic expected to go to Jabotabek at several toll gates (GT) barrier/main, namely GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (Trans Java and Bandung directions), GT Cikupa (Merak direction) and GT Ciawi (Peak direction).
According to Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Jasa Marga Dwimawan Heru, distribution from the east towards Jakarta which reaches 64,64% the, the majority will come from TransJawa and Bandung heading to Jabotabek via GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama. The peak is predicted to occur on Sunday, 8 Mei 2022, i.e. approx 174.157 vehicle, increased 104,4% compared to normal traffic.
“It doesn't just happen on Sundays, The increase in traffic is also predicted to occur on H+3 and H+4 or on Friday and Saturday, 6-7 Mei 2022, with an increase in vehicles not far from the peak of reverse flow at 8 Mei 2022. To create a more comfortable journey, We urge road users to arrange their travel time to return to Jabotabek beforehand 6-8 Mei 2022,” Heru said.
Implementation of traffic engineering such as contraflow to one way is prepared.
