Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (China) Investment Co., Ltd. via Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Dongfeng Honda) And also GAC Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (GAC Honda) plans to launch an electric car product, namely the Honda e: NS1 and Honda e: NP1.
Honda e: NS1 and Honda e: NP1 uses a powertrain in the form of an electric motorbike battery that can be used to drive long distances 510 kilometer (Based on standards from China CLTC). Besides that, Both models will also be equipped with the latest technology from Honda, that is; Honda CONNECT 3.0.
Honda e: NS1 and Honda e: NP1 also marks the first series of Honda's first EV brand for the Chinese domestic market. In accordance with the vision direction of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. previously that Honda would launch ten (10) electric-based model for the Chinese domestic market in 2027 future.
Further more, not only in terms of new product development but also in terms of branding, Honda will add special Honda e branding: N brand corner at every Honda showroom in China, both existing ones and those that will be opened in the future.
In terms of infrastructure, Dongfeng Honda and GAC Honda are preparing a new factory specifically intended for assembling electric cars that will be produced. The new factory is scheduled to start operating in 2024 future.
