In recent years, Astra Insurance has been active in providing positive impacts through various social responsibility activities promoted through various communication campaigns. One example is in March of this year 2023, when Astra Insurance gathered support from the community to respect the role of women through the #Meaningful Women campaign.
This campaign was launched based on directions from the OJK which prioritized women in efforts to increase financial literacy in 2023, and to support the achievement of Sustainable Development goals (SDGs) poin 5 “Gender equality”. Thanks to its success in realizing real actions that provide positive benefits for the surrounding community, Astra Insurance won the Gold Category award at the PR Indonesia Awards 2024 in the Corporate PR Program category. In this event, not just campaigns, tim PR, Marcomm, & Event as the initiator and implementer of the #MeaningfulWomen campaign also succeeded in winning an award in the Dept. PR Program Choice category.. The award was received by the Head of PR & Astra Insurance Activations, Angela Anindita at the Aston Hotel, Denpasar.
Public Relations Indonesia Awards (MAN) 2024 is a competition event to appreciate public relations performance or public relations (PR) which is superior from corporations/agencies throughout Indonesia which is also an event to give appreciation for the highest achievements in PR performance throughout the year 2023. By carrying the central theme "Communication that Inspires Civilization", the most comprehensive PR competition event in Indonesia, PRIA is a barometer of communication performance that should be followed by all corporate/agency PR practitioners.
On the assessment method, after doing submission judging material, carried out through an initial selection process by a panel of judges. Then, Companies with the best submissions are invited to take part in the judging online together with the jury and complete with the process desk research committee on related programs.
Always strive to understand and complement customer needs through improving products and services, as well as to the surrounding community with real action through campaigns, in the year of 2023, Astra Insurance believes in the various roles of women every day which encourages them to make wise decisions starting the public relations campaign #Meaningful Women throughout March 2023. As well as welcoming International Women's Day, #Meaningful Women is wrapped in a series of activities intended for the public and customers.
Some of the series include events talk show WE (Health & Family Financial Literacy) #WomenMeaningful for the mother's community with Ajinomoto which includes financial and health literacy topics, Socialization of Early Detection of Breast Cancer & Breast Ultrasound Examination in Kampung Berseri Asuransi Astra Pela Mampang, South Jakarta in collaboration with Lovepink, to the Financial Management webinar for Women in MSMEs through the LENTERA program (Astra Insurance Integrated Financial Literacy) who collaborate with ngeLESin.
Also equipped with internal activities, Astra Insurance invites all employees, especially female employees, to be confident and brave to be heroes for themselves and other women through a series of SHeroes Workshops held as an implementation of one of Astra Insurance's Employee Value Prepositions., namely the Wellbeing Program. This series consists of Wellbeing Talk Growth Mindset for SHEroes activities with Wanda Ponika and SHEroes Workshop.
Furthermore, via digital activation, Astra Insurance provides education in the form of funfact and information about women and finances to improve awareness from the campaign that is being promoted to photo challenge which is done via social media Instagram. As a form of full company support, throughout March 2023, Astra Insurance shares safety kit for female customers to stay safe and comfortable when driving.
