Otodiva – Through collaboration between PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) and PT Mobil Anak Bangsa (MAB), organized by XL Axiata Business Solutions (XLABS), the two will carry out a strategic partnership. Through this agreement, XLABS will provide ICT services such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and fixed connectivity (fixed connectivity) to support one of the national electric bus manufacturers. For XL Axiata, This collaboration marks their support for the progress of the electric car industry in Indonesia.
The signing of this agreement was carried out in Jakarta (4/5), attended by the President Director & CEO XL Axiata, Dian Siswarini, and President Director of PT MAB, Kelik Irwantono. The event was also witnessed by the General Chair of the Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association (Periklindo), TNI General (Ret) Dr. Dr. (H.C) Moeldoko, S.I.P, M.SI.
Dian Siswarini stated, “This partnership with PT MAB has a very important strategy for XL Axiata, and become part of the XLABS project portfolio in support of the electric vehicle industry (EV) in Indonesia which is currently developing rapidly. We are committed to growing together in this EV industry. This partnership confirms XLABS' readiness to support the growth and progress of the national EV industry, including providing the necessary solutions for advanced EV products and EV enterprise operations.”
Meanwhile, Kelik Irwantono conveyed, “This MoU is proof of our joint commitment to encourage the progress of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. By collaborating with respected partners such as XL Axiata, we aim to drive innovation and sustainability in the transport sector. The signing of this MoU is an important step towards a greener and more sustainable future, in line with broader goals to promote green energy and reduce carbon emissions.”
In this collaboration, XLABS will provide IoT Connectivity+ solutions for use in connectivity on EV Buses. This solution allows managers electric vehicle from MAB to monitor battery condition and vehicle location in real-time, providing convenience in daily operations and vehicle maintenance. Besides that, This solution will also increase operational cost efficiency because it allows control and monitoring from the dashboard.
At the initial stage of cooperation, IoT Connectivity+ solutions will be implemented on selected vehicles from MAB, while the Fixed Connectivity solution will be used for MAB factory connectivity in Kudus. Expected, these solutions will provide further benefits to the company's future operations.
PT MAB which was founded in 2017 is a national electric car manufacturer with an assembly plant in Kudus, province of Central Java. Its products include electric buses, electric truck, and electric vans.
