Otodiva – Even though the latest model has arrived Innova Zenix, However, it turns out that the Innova Reborn is still a favorite in Indonesia. Real evidence can be seen from wholesale sales which are higher than the Innova Zenix.
According to wholesale distribution data from May 2024 which was released by the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), The Reborn version of the Kijang Innova recorded sales of as many as 3.024 unit. Meanwhile, Innova Zenix in petrol and hybrid variants only recorded 2.357 unit.
In detail, The most popular Innova Reborn model in May is the Innova Diesel Matic, with total distribution reaching 2.355 unit. Meanwhile, petrol variant with manual transmission reaches 230 unit, and as many automatic transmissions 439 unit.
On the other hand, The best-selling Innova Zenix is the Hybrid variant with total deliveries of as many as 1.256 units in the same month. Meanwhile for the non-hybrid petrol variant, distribution reaches 1.101 unit.
This shows that Innova Reborn still has strong appeal in the Indonesian automotive market, especially for automatic diesel types whose average sales reach thousands of units.
If you look at the total distribution from January to May 2024, Innova Zenix is still superior in terms of wholesale distribution compared to Innova Reborn. The total distribution of Innova Zenix reached 13.176 unit, while the Innova Reborn recorded 8.673 unit.
In terms of price, the difference between Innova Zenix and Innova Reborn is around Rp 46 million.
The older version of the Kijang Innova uses a capacity 1TR-FE Dual VVT-i engine 1.998 cc, which is capable of producing as much power as 139 PS on 5.600 rpm and torque 18,7 kg.m on 4.000 rpm. This engine is combined with a five-speed manual transmission.
Meanwhile, Innova Zenix is equipped with a capacity M20A-FKS Dual VVT-i engine 1.987 cc. With this machine, Innova Zenix petrol can produce power 174 PS on 6.600 rpm and torque 20,9 kg.m in the rpm range 4.500-4.900.
In terms of price comparison, Kijang Innova petrol is priced starting from Rp 384,1 million, while the diesel variant is sold at Rp 411,3 million. Innova Zenix, on the other hand, has prices starting from Rp 430,4 million for the cheapest variant. The price difference between the two reaches Rp 46,3 million.
