Otodiva – At the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show exhibition (GIIAS) 2024, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) conducted a survey regarding the ideal price for the Honda Step WGN. The results show that the majority of consumers expect this medium MPV car to be priced below Rp 700 million.
The survey resulted in the conclusion that more than 40 percent of consumers want the Honda Step WGN to be sold at a price in the range of Rp 650-699 million. Meanwhile, 8 percent of consumers expressed a desire for this vehicle to be priced at around Rp 700 millions. Besides that, 24 percent of respondents hope the price will be below Rp 650 million.
Respond to the price request, Marketing Director PT HPM, Yusak Billy, stated that his party would try to set prices in accordance with consumer wishes.
“We try to keep the prices in line with consumer demand. Because the highest demand is in the range of Rp 670-675 million maximum. We will try, one more time, depending on what the conditions are,” said Yusak Billy when met at ICE BSD, South Tangerang.
However, Billy cannot confirm when the Honda Step WGN will go on sale in Indonesia. Nevertheless, he hopes that the vehicle can be marketed as soon as possible, even if possible, next year.
“With this much enthusiasm, we really hope to be able to launch it in 2025. We really consider being able to launch as quickly as possible,” he added.
As additional information, PT HPM has not yet revealed the complete specifications of the Honda Step WGN for the Indonesian market. However, clear, This vehicle has long dimensions 4.830 mm, wide 1.750 mm, height 1.845 mm, and wheelbases 2.890 mm.
