Otodiva – Hyundai Kona Electric increasing the choice of electric cars in the Indonesian market by presenting the cheapest variant, Style Standard Range, which is priced at Rp 499 million. This variant, although affordable, has several disadvantages compared to the highest variant, Signature Long Range.
One striking aspect is the absence of LED positioning lights and a roof rack on the vehicle's exterior. These features are usually found on the more expensive variants, providing a more premium look and added functionality. Besides that, The Kona Electric Style is also not equipped with heated and ventilated seats at the front, ambient lighting, as well as door spot lights which usually add comfort and interior aesthetics.
Moving on to safety and comfort features, The Kona Electric Style also does not have a parking distance warning system with six sensors covering the front area, aside, to the back, which is usually accompanied by a cluster guidance display. This feature is very useful for assisting drivers in parking and maneuvering in tight spaces. Nevertheless, Hyundai continues to equip this variant with a rear view monitor as part of the Hyundai SmartSense package, although other advanced safety features are not yet available.
In the entertainment sector, Another difference is the absence of BOSE premium 8 speakers that offer superior sound quality in higher variants. Besides that, wireless charging pad and rain sensing windscreen wipers are also not included in the features list, which means charging the phone must be done via cable and the wipers will not automatically adjust to the intensity of the rain.
Other practical features such as a smart power tailgate that allows users to open the trunk automatically are also not available, so trunk operations must be done manually. Besides that, fitur Vehicle to Load (V2L) which allows the car to be used as an electrical power source is also not supported on this variant.
Nevertheless, The Hyundai Kona Electric Style Standard Range still offers impressive performance with a capacity battery 48,9 kWh. This car produces power of 156 PS and torque 255 Nm, which is enough for daily use. For charging, using an AC system from 10-100% takes approx 4 jam 40 minute, while fast charging uses DC, charging time can be shorter, namely between 33 until 57 minutes depending on the power used.
With one full charge, The Kona Electric Style can cover distances of up to 448 km, which is enough for long trips without having to recharge frequently. This distance is indeed shorter than the Signature Long Range variant which can cover a distance of up to 602 km, but still very adequate for daily needs.
At a more affordable price, The Hyundai Kona Electric Style Standard Range is an attractive choice for those who want to switch to an electric car without having to dig too deep into their pockets. Although some key features are absent, This car still offers good value with the performance and efficiency it offers. So, Are you interested in owning this Hyundai Kona Electric Style?
