Otodiva – Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (HMM) is proud to launch the Hyundai Academy Course (HAC) Second generation, a superior program that aims to build and improve the quality of human resources in Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Indonesia. On 31 August, The opening ceremony for this program was opened directly by the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, And. Afriansyah Noor, M.Si.
President Director of PT Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia, Bong Kyu Lee, in his speech stated that this program is a concrete manifestation of Hyundai's commitment to grow and develop together with Indonesia by supporting the world of education in a sustainable manner.
“The Hyundai Academy Course is designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge relevant to the automotive industry. We hope to continue our positive contribution in producing a workforce that is competent and ready to compete in the global automotive market,” said Bong Kyu Lee at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia Factory, Cikarang, Bekasi Regency.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, And. Afriansyah Noor, M.Si, IPU, Director General of Vocational Development and Training and Productivity, Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Agung Nur Rohmad, M.M., Head of the West Java Education Service, Mochamad Ade Afrianti M.T., Pj. Bekasi Regent Dr. Dani Ramdan, BNSP Commissioner, Gilang Bayu Erlanga, S.E., M.M., as well as school representatives, guru, and vocational school students.

Many companies feel that involvement in vocational education and training is wasteful and troublesome, but from testimonials from companies that have been involved, this is a profitable investment for the company in the future," he explained when inaugurating the start of the Hyundai Academy Course program 2024.

The Second Generation Hyundai Academy Course is designed with a wider range of participants, involving not only students but also teachers to ensure effective and sustainable knowledge transfer. The learning process will be centered in the environmentally friendly factory environment of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia. Participants will be introduced to advanced production systems implemented to maintain efficiency and increase productivity, as well as getting to know firsthand the electric vehicle production system where Hyundai is a pioneer in the Indonesian EV industry.
Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia, as part of the most complete EV value supply chain in Indonesia, build a battery cell factory, battery assembly factory, to the comprehensive manufacture of electric vehicles in Indonesia. Second Generation Hyundai Academy Course participants will become an important part of the growing EV ecosystem in Indonesia. Bong Kyu Lee hopes that students can take important values from this program and inspire other students and industry players to continue to provide the best for Indonesia.
On this occasion, HMMI also donated one Hyundai SANTA FE car and three Hyundai Stargazer. This donation was handed over to the West Java Provincial Education Office to then be distributed to the target schools.
