Otodiva – PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) recorded a significant increase in sales in August 2024. This Japanese automotive company has succeeded in selling 8.515 vehicle units, soared 10 percent compared to the previous month. This surge reflects strong demand for various Honda models in the Indonesian market.
Honda Brio, which is known as the favorite hatchback, remains the backbone of Honda sales. With contributions reaching 53 percent of total sales, Brio sold as much 4.558 units in August 2024. This success confirms the Brio's position as Honda's best-selling model.
Apart from Brio, Honda's SUV models also recorded impressive performance. In the SUV category, Honda HR-V leads with the highest sales, reach 1.523 unit. This is an increase of 28 percent from the previous month. Meanwhile, Honda BR-V recorded sales of 842 unit, increased significantly by 46 percent.
In the Compact SUV segment, The Honda WR-V also showed solid results by selling as many as 1.127 unit. Nevertheless, Honda CR-V only sold 220 unit, but still makes a positive contribution to overall Honda SUV sales.
Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director PT HPM, explained that this achievement was driven by the success of the GIIAS exhibition 2024 which was held last July. The exhibition succeeded in attracting people's interest in buying new cars, and the positive effects were felt until August.
"We are grateful that our favorite models such as the Honda Brio and Honda HR-V continue to be in demand by consumers and have received high demand to date.. We hope that this positive trend will continue, supported by various large automotive exhibitions held in various regions in Indonesia,"said Billy in his official statement.
