Otodiva.id – The Kia EV9 has won a gold award at the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2024, organized by the International Designers Society of America (IDSA). This is the first award Kia has received from IDEA, adding to the achievements he had previously achieved, termasuk Red Dot ‘Best of Best’ and iF Design Gold earlier this year.
This award was given in the Automotive and Transportation category on 12 September 2024, di Palmer Events Center, Austin, Texas. This recognition underscores the superior design of the EV9 and the innovation reflected in Kia's creative philosophy, ‘Opposites United’.

The EV9 design utilizes the diversity of natural values and modernity, creating harmony in form and function. This philosophy encourages designers to innovate, producing a bold and practical electric car, while being responsible for the environment.
Strong lines and smooth surfaces are characteristic of the EV9, with unique features such as Digital Tiger Face and vertical headlights that add to its futuristic appeal. This aesthetic design has been one of the reasons for the EV9's success in winning various awards.
This year is the 44th year that IDEA has been held, making it one of the most prestigious and long-standing design awards. The gold award for the EV9 comes seven years after Kia received the bronze trophy for the Kia Telluride Concept in 2017.
The Kia EV9 is a symbol of the company's commitment to sustainable mobility. This electric SUV is the first model to integrate 10 environmentally friendly elements, which will be implemented in all future Kia models.
Since its launch in 2023, EV9 has achieved global success, including awards at the World Car Awards 2024 as 'World Car of the Year’ and the best electric vehicles. This recognition shows the appeal and value of the EV9 design in the international market.
