Otodiva.id – Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) has just launched the all-new KONA Electric, which continues to steal attention thanks to various superior features that increase user mobility. To introduce performance, comfort, and security, HMID held an event “Hyundai Media Drive: The all-new KONA Electric” with journalists. This event takes place from 7 until 9 October 2024 with a travel route from Jakarta to Semarang, showing the ability of this electric car to travel long distances.
During the trip from Jakarta to Semarang, The all-new KONA Electric trim Signature Long Range managed to cover the longest distance 420 km without charging. This shows the extraordinary efficiency of this electric vehicle for long-distance use. On the second day, journalists were invited to explore the city of Semarang, Enjoy the experience of driving in the city with various advanced features owned by KONA Electric, including Vehicle to Load (V2L) and Hyundai Bluelink.
Hyundai Bluelink offers convenience for users, allowing journalists to enjoy city travel more efficiently. The V2L Indoor feature was also showcased, where the electric massager can be connected to the power outlet in the car, shows the practicality of this function for everyday needs. After city exploration, The participants continued their journey to Tuntang via the toll road, where the performance of KONA Electric is proven again with a drive motor that produces up to power 160 kW and torque 255 Nm.
Driving comfort is also enhanced with the Climate Control and Ventilated Seat features, which allows users to set the cabin temperature remotely before entering the car. This is very useful in Semarang which often experiences hot weather. The journalists also visited the Ambarawa Railway Museum, a historic destination, shows the evolution of transportation from trains to electric vehicles like the KONA Electric.
One of the interesting activities in this event is the cooking challenge using kitchen tools such as electric stoves and rice cookers connected to V2L Outdoor. This feature allows users to use electronic equipment outside the car, expanding the functionality of this vehicle. With a maximum power of 3kW, V2L Indoor and Outdoor provides great flexibility for a variety of needs.
Apart from the V2L feature, journalists were also introduced to View Around My Vehicle via the Hyundai Bluelink application, which allows users to see the condition of the vehicle 360° when the car is turned off. This feature helps improve vehicle safety, especially when parked or used in valet service. Participants were also given the opportunity to test this feature during the event.
At night, The event closed with dinner at D'Blasteran. Over there, HLI Green Power representatives explained further about the KONA Electric battery specifications, which is produced in Indonesia to global standards. They also share tips for maintaining the quality of electric vehicle batteries, such as using an official charger and avoiding overcharging and extreme temperatures.
The all-new KONA Electric comes in nine exterior color choices, including Optic White Matte, Creamy White Pearl, dan Dragon Red Pearl. This vehicle is also available in several price variants depending on location, with prices starting from Rp 499.000.000 for the Style variant up to Rp 591.800.000 for Signature Long Range in Semarang.
