Maintaining your car's AC to keep it cool is actually very easy and doesn't require a lot of money. You can even do it yourself at home. Is there any special care for caring for car AC?? Here are some tips quoted by Otodiva.com from thisdaylive.com. Come on, let's see!

1. Run your air conditioner weekly
You need to turn on your AC at least once a week during 10 minutes in defrost mode at the fullest setting and at maximum fan speed. This helps maintain gas pressure, keep your compressor working properly, Cleans moisture and prevents mold. Including turning on the AC in winter, which will help remove moisture and work well to defog the windshield.

2. Clean or replace the air filter
A dirty cabin air filter prevents proper air flow. Check your filter frequently and clean or replace it if it is dirty. Because an air filter that is covered with dust will hinder the cooling of the AC. Make sure the AC air filter is clean from dust.

3. Don't immediately turn on the AC when the engine has just been started
Your car's air conditioning operates at maximum efficiency while you drive. In this condition, do not cool your car first. Leave it for a few minutes and let the engine start, just turn on your car's AC. On a very hot day, turn on your fan or after you start driving and open the rear seat window during 10 until 20 seconds to remove hot air from inside the car.

4. Set the air conditioner to the coldest setting
Your car's air conditioner is most efficient when set to the lowest temperature and adjusting the fan for comfort. Most air conditioning systems cool the air to 3-4 Celsius. Higher temperatures force the system to reheat the air, and burn more fuel. Don't let this happen often, because it can cause your AC to be damaged by forcing the system to heat up.

5. Do not use the air conditioner on recirculation if you have rear seat passengers
Recirculation mode draws air from the front of the vehicle and cools it again. This works well for passengers in the front of your vehicle, but it can leave stale, hot air behind. So therefore, do not use your car's AC on recirculation if there are passengers.
