The following is how to replace the handlebars on a Harley motorbike, which Otodiva.com has quoted from Demon's Cycle. Yuk, we'll see!

1. Find the Right Position
The placement of the handlebars on your Harley motorbike is very personal. You want the handlebars to be in the right position for maximum control and comfort when you're out on the open road, so it's a good idea to take the time to find the right position. Grab a pen and paper, make a note of the handlebar height, wide, and hand position.

2. Release Hand Control
To remove the current handlebars, You have to get rid of some other parts. Start by checking any zip ties or clamps that may be securing the wiring harness and restraints to the throttle & idle cable then cut with pliers or loosen enough to remove. You will pull back the cover on the throttle cable to loosen the nut on that part. Then slide the switch carefully. Remove the brake lever by loosening or removing the fastener. Now turn to the clutch side of your Harley motorcycle and release the switch and clutch.

3. Remove the Bolt
Start with a half turn on the existing fastener and be careful not to loosen it too quickly, with the risk of falling or getting lost. If possible, flip the handlebars over to make it easier to remove all the fasteners, then set the fasteners to the side. Remove your tachometer and speedometer fasteners.

4. Put on the New Handlebar
Snap the new Handlebar into place and then carefully begin returning the fasteners into position. It's a good idea to check important parts at this stage to make sure they're in good condition or decide if they need to be replaced before continuing. Add a drop of lubricant to each of your bolts before reinstalling them. Remember, always tighten your bolts first and then tighten them in the opposite formation. It's a good idea to check the fit and comfort of your new handlebars. Adjust to your riding position before tightening the bolts. Restore and adjust your brakes for comfort. Then move your switch back into place and tighten it.

5. Repeat Process on Clutch Side
Install the clutch lever and switch assembly on the left blade as you did on the right then make sure the cable is positioned correctly. Carefully reattach the other accessories you removed from the left panel. Replace all fasteners, emphasis, or the cable retainer that you loose.

6. Check again
Test all switches to make sure you haven't damaged any wiring and double check that all fasteners are installed correctly. Swing the handlebars hard to the right and then to the left again, make sure the throttle cable, idle, and the clutch doesn't hang or catch on the bars.
