So, at the SEMA show 2021 of Las Vegas, Nevada, The Japanese automaker debuted a new custom camper called the Tacozilla. The Tacozilla is a custom camper based on the Tacoma TRD Sport built in the Toyota Motorsports garage and painted in Texas. Yellow color scheme scheme, orange, and its antique bronze draws inspiration from Toyota campers from the 60s and 70s. The smooth, narrowed top and bottom mean the Tacozilla can still navigate off-road trails, additionally Toyota says that a person over six feet tall can walk around in this car. The Japanese automaker combined the TRD sports Tacoma with a custom-built micro-home, menjadi RV mikro 4×4 ‘tacozilla’. Toyota offers a modern take on the Toyota camper from the 70s celebrating the campers of the past, the design team sought to revive this retro model by adding a new twist, while also creating the popularity of camping.
This Tacoma still has the same fender flares as the stock truck, and Toyota picked it up, giving an additional two inches of ground clearance. Select Bronze 17 inch TRD wrapped in General Grabber tires 33 inci all-terrain. A fuel tank filler is separated from the camper, and an additional battery is installed in the engine room.
The Tacozilla is just a special prototype truck to be shown off at the SEMA show, but we're sure it will provide plenty of inspiration for overlanders and Toyota faithful alike.

During the process, the design team has decided to add large pop-up lexan skylights to allow plenty of light to penetrate the interior and natural air circulation to flow. Eventually, they add striking color. The finished white base layer is decorated with yellow stripes, orange, and bronze which is a memento of vintage models.
