After Eid, it seems that a number of car companies are preparing to release their newest models. Starting from SUVs, MPV, to city cars. This news actually spread before Ramadan. Some are just rumors, there are also those that have been registered with the DKI Jakarta Samsat, which could be a strong sign that it will be launched.
Subaru Foster
Quoting from Otosia, The first car is a Subaru Forester. After leaving Indonesia, Subaru kembali hadir dengan membawa Forester. Mobil ini digadang-gadang luncur tanggal 18 Mei 2022. This was revealed in a number of videos teaser on the Instagram account @subaru.indonesia and from the DKI Jakarta Samsat website.
Based on data on Motor Vehicle Sales Value (NJKB), The Subaru Forester will have a 2,000cc boxer engine with bursts of power 156 PS and torque 196 Nm. All engine power is distributed to each wheel (4WD).
Foresters entering Indonesia may get EyeSight safety technology which includes Lane Keep Assist and Sway Warning, Pre-Collision Braking and Throttle Management, as well as Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control.
Hyundai Stargazer
Berikutnya adalah Hyundai Stargazer. Mobil ini kerap ditemukan sedang tes jalan di beberapa tempat, including Indonesia. Stargazer is positioned as an LMPV competitor to the Toyota Avanza or Mitsubishi Xpander and is scheduled to launch this year.
“(We) will present a new LMPV, seven passengers designed specifically for the Indonesian people and will be launched this year,” ungkap SungJong Ha, President Director PT Hyundai Motor Indonesia (HMID).
Hyundai Stargazer has a NJKB value starting from Rp 155 million for the cheapest type Active with manual transmission, to the most expensive Stargazer Prime which is sold for Rp 202 million.
Daihatsu Sirion facelift
Lastly is the Daihatsu Sirion facelift. The presence of this car was caught on camera in the Karawang area, West Java. In the homecoming reportage video uploaded by the Liputan6 YouTube account, A transport truck was recorded carrying several cars which were strongly suspected to be the newest Daihatsu Sirion.
Based on information from DKI Jakarta Samsat, Daihatsu's new car will most likely come without Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) like Rocky's or Xenia's. This new car will use the same 1,300cc engine, but changed the transmission to D-CVT.
For price projections, NJKB New Daihatsu Sirion is at Rp 160 million for type X and Rp 167 million for type R.
