1. Sport bike (motor sport)
If you are looking for the fastest motorbike, Sportbikes are the speed machines of the motorbike world. High-powered with advanced suspension system and high-performance brakes, Sports bikes are usually equipped with the latest and greatest technology you can find on two wheels (or four).
2. Cruiser
Light or medium cruisers make good beginner motorcycles because they are easier to control at low speeds and have a more relaxed power output. It is just, don't expect to win races against sportbikes — unless you buy a “power cruiser”, which is a cruiser with a more powerful engine and other performance improvements. But, may not be a good first choice for beginners.
3. Dresser (motor touring)
Some people ride motorbikes to shorten or speed up trips in ways that cars cannot. However, long distance travel means you have to take at least a few things with you, that's what touring bikes — also known as “dressers” — are made for.
4. Dual – sport
All dual-sport motorcycles have long-travel suspension (for off-road driving) plus a motorbike that is suitable for long distance driving. Most dual-sport motorbikes are designed to be ridden to remote areas. Depends on the model, they also make great commuter bikes because they tend to be light, thin, very maneuverable, great in fuel consumption, and is able to smooth pockmarked city streets.
5. Sports - touring
Sport-tourers usually have removable hard trunks, aerodynamic fairing, windshield, and lots of horsepower. You ride it in a sit-up style, like a sports motorbike, but with more comfort. Many shaft drive features, ABS, GPS, and many other technologies combined. You can ride a sports-tourer as a beginner, but know that they are big bikes, heavy, and strong.
