Otodiva.id – Hyundai Motor Group memberi sambutan perdana di tahun baru 2024 on Wednesday (3/1) at Kia AutoLand Gwangmyeong, factory specializing in electric vehicles (EV) first in Korea, which explains Hyundai's main focuses in the next year.
Carrying the theme 'Together, a Valuable Start’, Euisun Chung, Executive Chair Hyundai Motor Group, together with other leaders shared messages for the new year and Hyundai's future vision.
In the message, Chung said, “Our mission this year is centered on ‘Consistency and Sustainability’ by continuing to strengthen the capabilities that will enable us to overcome challenges and achieve sustainable progress.”
Chung emphasized that ‘consistent change’ and ‘sustainable growth’ are the key words to Hyundai's success in the face of increasing global competition and uncertainty..
Focus on wading 2024 and the following years, Chung said, “I am enthusiastic about the series of innovations in the field of electrification that will start at AutoLand Gwangmyeong, Hyundai's first EV-only factory, and then expanded to Ulsan, United States of America, and many more areas.”
Hyundai Motor Group will complete the redevelopment of the Kia AutoLand Gwangmyeong EV Plant in the second quarter of this year, which will later produce the EV3, a compact EV, for domestic and international markets. Furthermore, Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA), Kia AutoLand Hwaseong EV Plant, and Hyundai Motor Ulsan EV Plant will begin operations in stages to introduce innovative EVs to the global market–in line with Hyundai's overall strategy to enter the top three global EV manufacturers by 2030.
Refers to Hyundai's ability to overcome various crises, Chung emphasized the importance of a healthy character for the company.
“Weakness will make us stumble, but strength allows us to maintain balance, achieve success amidst adversity, and become stronger. Companies must also do the same by making continuous efforts to strengthen themselves,he said.
"Often, this is a difficult process, but it is absolutely necessary to be successful. Only when we, as a company, strengthen yourself, we can overcome challenges and build the foundation for sustainable growth,he added.
Chung outlined the importance of consistent change for obvious reasons for Hyundai, namely customers.
“Consistent change is the key to innovation. The act of stepping out of your comfort zone may seem unsettling at first, but this is proof that we are indeed moving in the right direction,” said Chung.
Chung also emphasized the need for creative thinking and a challenging spirit to achieve Hyundai's commitment to consistent change. “Kita perlu menumbuhkan budaya perusahaan yang secara aktif mendorong inovasi. We must not be afraid of failure and must not be afraid to try,he said.
