In order to welcome the season helmk during the Eid holiday 2024, Signify together with Hutama Karya have initiated the installation 3.000 smart light points on most of the Trans Sumatra toll road. This smart lighting system is a combination of Philips LED street lights and the Internet-of-Things-based Interact platform (IoT).

Apart from improving the safety of travelers on the road, This smart lighting is also expected to reduce lighting energy consumption by up to 80%, making it the right solution to support efforts to reduce carbon emissions in Indonesia. Road infrastructure has an important role in facilitating the mobility and distribution of goods. Via Interact, a lighting system connected to IoT, Managers can easily monitor and manage all light points via a smart technology-based dashboard, starting from lighting scheduling, detect damage, regulate the intensity of street lighting, to monitor the energy consumption used.

“This smart lighting can be controlled using a mapping system, so that Hutama Karya can with easy to monitor, regulate the lighting schedule to the level of lighting on the toll road,” said Blume.

Started construction on 2014 by PT Hutama Karya (Persero), Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) recorded
