This was the fourth major win for the line Hyundai IONIQ 5 in the last three years. This achievement further strengthens IONIQ's position 5 N as the market leader, continues to outperform other EV competitors with its incredible technology and high performance.
Performa Hyundai IONIQ 5 N itself has been tested on various types of race tracks at the HMG Driving Experience Center Taean, which is a facility driving experience and brand experience largest in South Korea. This facility offers proving ground which includes eight types of trajectories covering Braking Course, Dry Handling Circuit, Wet Handling Circuit, High Speed Oval, Vehicle Dynamics Area, Wet Circular Course, Kick Plate Course, and Off-road Courses. Each track is designed to meet the varying needs of drivers in a variety of driving styles and maneuvers, starting from slalom, drift, cornering, to emergency situations and extreme conditions.
IONIQ 5 N as high-performance car in the era of electrification
Created as the newest option for fans of high performance cars, IONIQ 5 N is Hyundai's step to bring the driving experience electric vehicle (EV) to a higher level. This car carries a revolutionary concept of electrification while still maintaining a dynamic and engaging driving sensation. IONIQ 5 N is designed with a range of the latest technology features, including the latest battery technology which provides longer range and a fast charging process, system regenerative braking to increase efficiency, as well as next-generation connectivity options that enable seamless integration seamless with today's digital lifestyle.
IONIQ 5 N integrate platforms Electric Global Module Platform (E-GMP) with technology motorsport from Hyundai N Brand. This model also utilizes results from testing of the Hyundai N vehicle known as ‘Rolling Labs’ (including RM20e, RN22e, dan N Vision 74) to optimize IONIQ performance 5 N as an electric vehicle high-performance. With a combination of these two technologies, IONIQ 5 N can reach peak power up to 650 PS and maximum torque of 770 Nm (when N Grin Boost is activated), providing a more powerful and responsive driving experience.
Besides that, IONIQ 5 N is equipped with the latest capacity battery 84.0 kWh which uses dual electric motors capable of operating up to 21.000 RPM. The existence of this innovative technology makes IONIQ possible 5 N to produce an output of 448 kW/609 PS and torque 740 Nm (or 478 kW/650 PS and 770 Nm with N Grin Boost enabled), presents a more challenging and dynamic driving experience. AWD drive car (All Wheel Drive) it can reach a maximum speed of up to 260 km/h and accelerate from 0 until 100 km/h in 3,5 second (3,4 seconds with N Grin Boost active), making it a high performance car in the same class as conventional engine vehicles.

Drive on the track high speed oval more optimal with N Launch Control and N Grin Boost
Driving on the track high speed oval at HMG Driving Experience Center Taean provides an extraordinary experience for participants. Here, The N Launch Control feature is the main key to ensure the driver can start at maximum speed from a standstill, so they can start a race or lap with optimal performance. This is very crucial on the track high speed oval, where every second can make a significant difference in the outcome of the race.
Besides that, The presence of N Grin Boost also provides additional excitement to the driving experience on the track high speed oval. By providing additional encouragement during 10 second, N Grin Boost gives drivers the edge needed to respond to fast situations on the track or even increase the sensation of driving pleasure. This feature doesn't just focus on improving acceleration, but also gives drivers extra control and increases their confidence when competing on challenging tracks.

Action drift on the track slalom it's even easier with N Drift Optimizer and Torque Kick Drift
Mastering art drifting on the track slalom requires skill and precise control. However, Hyundai IONIQ 5 N takes this experience to the next level with its advanced feature called N Drift Optimizer. This feature not only provides the ability to maintain stable control while the car is in condition oversteer, but also gives the driver the confidence to exploit the limits of the car's capabilities in extreme maneuvers.
The smart technology behind this feature automatically adjusts throttle response, torque distribution, and car stability, so drivers can focus on their driving technique without having to worry too much about losing control. This feature is also equipped with Torque Kick Drift which makes it possible clutch kick action like a vehicle rear-wheel-drive internal combustion engine (ICE), so you can get fast drift initiation.
Maximizing the N e-Shift feature, N race, N Pedal, N Active Sound, and N Torque Distribution on the track Circuit Driving
Apart from driving on the track slalom and high speed oval, Participants were also invited to ride on the track Circuit Driving. On this track, Hyundai demonstrated the use of the N e-Shift feature, N race, N Pedal, N Active Sound, and N Torque Distribution for a different electric driving sensation, according to the concept “Never Just Drive” with that experience fun to drive from Hyundai N Brand.
The N e-shift feature simulates transmission dual clutch (DCT) eight speed, regulate motor torque, and imitates the sensation of changing gears like an ICE car with a manual transmission. Drivers can also use the N Pedal feature for fast driving response and increased sensitivity throttle, agility, and the vehicle's ability to conquer every corner.
There is also an N Race feature that allows the driver to choose between modes “Endurance” and “Sprint” to optimize vehicle performance according to needs. Hyundai also presents the N Active Sound feature to create a more immersive driving experience by producing attractive futuristic electric vehicle sounds. Final, N Torque Distribution increases vehicle stability and maneuverability at every corner, giving drivers better control of their car on the track Circuit Driving.
Apart from getting the opportunity to enjoy the sensation of driving with IONIQ 5 N, Participants are also invited to explore the driving experience high-performance car from the Hyundai N line, including the title-winning Elantra N “Best Sports Performance Car” in Canada in 2023. Besides that, they also have the opportunity to feel the sensation taxi drive using a heritage Hyundai vehicle, like Grandeur, Cup, Pony, and Galloper.
