Otodiva – PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia will soon introduce their newest electric vehicle model, all-new KONA Electric, designed to provide a fun and innovative driving experience. On 12 July 2024, Hyundai held a 'Media First Impressions' event: The all-new KONA Electric' di Aloha, Kapuk Beautiful Beach 2, Jakarta, where the media had the opportunity to experience firsthand the performance and superior features of this electric car.
Woojun Cha, President Director Hyundai Motors Indonesia, state, “The all-new KONA Electric is proof of Hyundai's commitment to developing electric vehicles in Indonesia. Carrying the theme 'Your Future Playground,' KONA Electric is the first electric vehicle to use locally produced batteries in Indonesia, equipped with advanced technology to create a superior driving experience.” This event provides an opportunity for Hyundai to demonstrate the superior performance and technology offered by KONA Electric.

In this event, Journalists had the opportunity to try KONA Electric's performance on various tracks, like ramps, zigzag, speed bump, dan acceleration. Besides that, they can also test Hyundai SmartSense safety features, Hyundai Bluelink, and other safety features.
Hyundai equips the KONA Electric with the latest technology, including Hyundai's advanced Bluelink connectivity feature which allows software updates via over-the-air (OTA) update. Participants can also try the View Around My Vehicle feature which allows 360° visuals when the vehicle is off.
On the interior side, KONA Electric offers comfort with a futuristic and spacious design. This model is equipped with a speedometer cluster that is integrated with the AVNT screen (Audio, Video, Navigation, Telematics) to provide information and needs when driving. A premium sound system is also included for a high-quality audio experience.
The all-new KONA Electric will be one of the main attractions at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024, where Hyundai will also launch other EV models. The presence of these two new EV models is part of Hyundai's efforts to introduce future mobility to Indonesian consumers and set new standards for electric vehicles in the country..
During GIIAS 2024, Hyundai will provide various interesting activities for visitors, including test drives of superior vehicles ranging from ICE to EV. Hyundai also provides an exclusive waiting room for visitors waiting for the test drive session.
Visitors can also experience being a passenger on KONA Electric through a test ride at the Hyundai booth. For those who want to exchange their old vehicle, Hyundai provides a practical Trade-In Reception, offers a one-stop shopping experience.
To increase customer comfort, Hyundai also provides aftersales services 'Hyundai is here for you: Hyundai Care, Hyundai Guarantee' at GIIAS 2024. This program includes free services such as emissions testing, Multi Vehicle Inspection, Waterless Car Wash, nitrogen filling, Hyundai scanning with GDS, and oil change.
