Agung also explained his experience using EM1 e: for the last three months, who can only reach 30 kilometers a day. This causes the battery to drain approx 70 percent every day.

To solve this problem, Agung usually recharges the battery during work breaks so that the battery is fully charged without worries when traveling.

Rina Listiani, Senior Manager Corporate Communication Astra Honda Motor, responded to Agung's request by confirming that Honda would release a new electric motorbike model this year.

“Kami akan merilisnya tahun ini, as we announced earlier this year. We hope to meet consumer needs and expectations,” kata Rina.

However, when asked about whether the new model would have a larger battery and longer range, Rina was reluctant to provide further comments.

Honda previously introduced the SC e electric motorbike concept: Concept di Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024. This electric motorbike has larger dimensions than the EM1 e:.

Although there has been no official confirmation whether SC e: Concept will be mass produced, Honda has promised to launch a new electric motorbike model. Previously, SC e: The concept was introduced globally at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 and EICMA (International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition) Italia.

Based on the EM1 e launch experience: in Indonesia, Honda usually releases new electric motorbikes towards the end of the year. Thus, it is very likely that the electric motor SC e: Concept will be available in the next few months.
