Otodiva – After showing off the concept in April 2024 Then, Honda finally launched their newest electric SUV in China, namely the Honda Ye S7. This launch marks an important step for Honda in achieving its sales target 100% car electrification in China in 2035. This car is expected to be officially sold at the end 2024, giving automotive enthusiasts something to look forward to.
Honda Ye S7 is the result of collaboration with two Chinese companies, namely Dongfeng Honda and GAC Honda. Honda's ambitious plan is to release six electric car models this year 2027 starting with the launch of the Ye S7 and Ye P7 as the first models of the series. Thus, The launch of the Ye S7 marks an important milestone in Honda's journey towards full electrification in the world's largest automotive market.
In the final version, The Honda Ye S7 is not much different from the concept version introduced previously. This car is equipped with translucent type LED daytime running lights which have a branched design on both sides, berbentuk ‘H’ memanjang di ujung kap mesin. The signature H logo of the Ye series also appears in the center, while the front of the car looks clean without a grille. This design gives a modern and futuristic impression.
On the back, Honda Ye S7 juga menampilkan desain sporty dengan bentuk ‘H’ memanjang yang mencerminkan identitas visual mobil ini. Pilar A, B, and the C on the side of the car has been blacked out, equipped with black fenders and black side skirts which add a sporty impression to the overall appearance of the car.
According to Carnewschina website, Honda Ye S7 has long dimensions 4.750 mm, wide 1.930 mm, and high 1.625 mm, with wheelbase 2.930 mm. This car is powered by an electric drive system consisting of an electric motor 150 kW on the front and 200 kW at the rear, produces a combined power of 350 kW or approx 469 horsepower.
CATL's ternary lithium battery is used as the main power source, allows the Honda Ye S7 to reach a top speed of up to 180 km/hour. With curb weight reaching 2.305 kg, This car is designed to provide a balance between high performance and energy efficiency.
