Otodiva – Toyota Hilux Rangga, The latest pickup model from Toyota, recorded pre-orders as many as 450 units during 11 day of the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024. This figure is quite impressive, especially considering that the Hilux Rangga has not yet been officially launched.
Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) Open pre-booking for Hilux Rangga at GIIAS 2024, giving potential consumers the opportunity to do a test drive. Visitors can try a flat deck model unit which is capable of carrying loads up to 1,2 ton. This is the first time the public can do a test drive after the Rangga Concept was introduced at GIIAS 2023.
During GIIAS 2024 which lasted from 18 July to 28 July, Hilux Rangga appears in various forms, like Camper Vans, Mobile Waste Station, dan LED Box, which succeeded in attracting the attention of exhibition visitors.
"Hilux Rangga pre-booking recorded a pleasing result with more than 450 orderer,” said TAM in its official statement on Wednesday (31/7).
Potential buyers do not make decisions without sufficient information. TAM has provided an estimated price for this pickup, starting from under IDR 300 million to above IDR 300 million. TAM also confirmed that the official launch will take place in Q4 this year, although the exact date has not been determined.
During GIIAS 2024, TAM succeeded in collecting a total of vehicle order letters (SPK) as much as 6.202 unit. Of these, around 31 percent is Kijang Innova with total 1.968 unit. The second best selling cars were the Avanza and Veloz which recorded 1.395 SPK or approx 22 percent.
Besides that, of the total 6.202 SPK units, as much as 27 percent or 1.724 unit is an electrified car, including hybrid models. From the hybrid car group, Kijang Innova Hybrid is the best-selling with 1.305 unit, followed by the Yaris Cross Hybrid with 240 unit. The new Alphard Hybrid model launched at GIIAS 2024 get 121 SPK, while Vellfire recorded 25 SPK and Corolla Cross Hybrid 23 SPK.
