Otodiva – Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show automotive exhibition (GIIAS) Bandung 2024 held again at the Sudirman Grand Ballroom on 25-29 September. This annual event is not only a place to introduce the latest innovations, but also aims to encourage the growth of the automotive industry, especially in the West Java region.
Chairman of the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), Yohannes Nangoi, emphasized the importance of holding automotive exhibitions in various strategic areas. This is in line with Gaikindo's commitment to supporting the development of the national automotive industry. Nangoi stated that GIIAS Bandung 2024 has an important role as a forum for producers to showcase new technology and encourage market growth in West Java province.
“GIIAS Bandung 2024 not only is it an opportunity to introduce the latest innovations and models, but also as an impetus for the growth of the automotive industry in West Java province,” said Nangoi in his written statement, Thursday (26/9/2024).
Exhibition Encourages Regional Automotive Market
Yohannes Nangoi emphasized the importance of maintaining the enthusiasm of the automotive market. He also added that the success of this exhibition could be a positive indicator for industrial growth in the region. Besides that, Nangoi expressed his appreciation to the government, especially the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Communications, and the West Java Provincial Government, for the support they provide to the Indonesian automotive sector.
On the same occasion, Putu Juli Ardika, Acting Director General of ILMATE, Ministry of Industry, also conveyed the importance of holding exhibitions like GIIAS. He stated that the GIIAS exhibition series was clear evidence of the automotive industry's support for national economic growth.
“GIIAS Bandung 2024 This is proof of the automotive industry's commitment to supporting economic growth, especially in the transportation and motor vehicle sectors. The Ministry of Industry will continue to encourage the development of environmentally friendly technology, such as electric and hybrid vehicles, in order to achieve the Net Zero Emission target by 2060," explained Putu Juli.
Participation 19 Automotive Brand
GIIAS Bandung 2024 held in a wide area 8.000 square meters with the participation of 19 global vehicle brands. Of these, 13 among them are passenger vehicle brands such as BYD, Chery, Citroen, Daihatsu, GAC I will, Honda, KIA, Mazda, MG, Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki, Toyota, and Wuling. Each brand brings the latest models equipped with the latest technology, showcasing innovations that are ready to attract visitors.
Not just passenger vehicles, the exhibition also features commercial vehicles, where Toyota Commercial participated with its superior vehicle line. Meanwhile, for two-wheeled vehicles, present five well-known brands such as Alva, Benelli, Keeway, Royal Enfield, and Scomadi. This exhibition is also supported by various automotive supporting industries which introduce complementary products for automotive fans.
Yohannes Nangoi added that support from 19 This vehicle brand is proof that GIIAS Bandung is an effective platform for introducing new technology to the public. He also stated that Gaikindo will continue to develop strategies to make this exhibition more relevant for participants and visitors.
“Maximum support from total 19 motor vehicle brands at GIIAS Bandung this year making it an effective platform to introduce the latest models and technology. In the future, Gaikindo will again develop a strategy to accommodate the needs of the participants, and ensure that GIIAS Bandung can continue to develop,” stressed Nangoi.
GIIAS Bandung Ticket Prices 2024
For those of you who want to attend GIIAS Bandung 2024, This exhibition was opened to the public on 25-29 September. On weekdays (Wednesday to Friday), The exhibition runs from 12:00 p.m 11.00 until 21.00 WIB. While on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), the exhibition opens early, i.e. start at 10.00 until 21.00 WIB.
Entrance tickets can be purchased online via the Auto360 application. Weekday ticket price (Wednesday-Friday) priced at IDR 15,000, while weekend tickets (Saturday Sunday) sold for IDR 25,000. For those who want to buy tickets directly at the location, weekday ticket price is Rp20.000, while weekend tickets are IDR 30,000.
