Astra Honda Motor Foundation (AHM Foundation) in collaboration with main dealer PT Mitra Pinasthika Mulia (MPM) handed over humanitarian aid in the form of food packages worth IDR 200 million to victims of the Mount Semeru eruption in several areas in Lumajang Regency, East Java.
This aid package for Caring for Mount Semeru Eruption Victims was handed over symbolically at the Pendopo Arya Wiraraja Disaster Post, Lumajang, on Tuesday (7/11). Chairman of the AHM Foundation Ahmad Muhibbuddin accompanied by Corporate Secretary Head of PT MPM Vinensia Kenanga handed over this assistance to the Secretary of BPBD Lumajang Endah Maryuni witnessed by the Chairman of Baznas Lumajang H. Atok Hasan Sanusi, S. Sos.
Food package assistance for disaster victims in the form of: 500 rice packet (total 2.500kg), 28.000 instant noodle fruit, 16.800 mineral water bottle, 500 biscuit package, 540 can of sardines, as well as 25.000 medical mask, 15.000 dressing, and 700 medicine package. This aid will be distributed to various refugee locations spread across several sub-districts in the Lumajang district.
“Kami akan distribusikan segera ke para pengungsi di kecamatan-kecamatan di Lumajang. Thank you for your help and concern for the people of Lumajang,” ujar Endah.
Ahmad Muhibbuddin said the eruption disaster on the highest mountain on the island of Java brought sorrow to the people of Lumajang and its surroundings, both morally and materially. Because of that, The AHM Foundation is trying to synergize with various parties in order to mitigate the impact of this disaster.
“Kami turut prihatin dan duka yang mendalam untuk para korban erupsi Gunung Semeru, both residents who lost their families, port-port, and those who lost their homes because they were buried in volcanic ash. With the synergy of various parties, Hopefully the affected communities and conditions around Semeru can be helped optimally, Lumajang soon recovered," said Muhibbuddin.
