Otodiva – Astra collaborates with PT PLN to accelerate the clean energy transition. They collaborate in developing electric vehicle infrastructure (electric vehicle/EV) in the form of providing Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) and installation of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) Roof.
The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia, Arifin Tasrif, when opening the MoU signing agenda, expressed his appreciation to business entity stakeholders who continue to work together to help support Indonesia in the progress of developing new, renewable energy in infrastructure..
While Hamdhani Dzulkarnaen Salim, Director of Astra and President Director of Astra Otoparts added, Collaboration with PLN is the right step and is in line with Astra's goals in supporting the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem and accelerating the clean energy transition in Indonesia.
He believes collaboration with PLN can support Astra's goal of supporting the government's efforts to develop the electric vehicle ecosystem. At the same time reducing emissions by increasing the mix of renewable energy in operational activities and strengthening the development of Astra Group companies to become more sustainable and resilient in the future.
“Termasuk dalam percepatan pengembangan ekosistem kendaraan listrik, both through charging machines that we develop and produce ourselves as well as electric car charging facilities for all electric vehicle users,” kata Hamdhani di Jakarta (12/7).
Collaboration between Astra and PLN
On this occasion, Astra Otoparts and PLN are collaborating in the form of developing Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) in Indonesia as Astra Otoparts' first step to strengthen its existence in the electrification ecosystem.
It is hoped that the collaboration between Astra Otoparts and PLN will provide benefits for electric vehicle users in accessing SPKLU. Astra Otoparts and PLN will also be able to work together in providing installation of electric vehicle charging machines to third parties.
Since last year Astra Otoparts has introduced Astra Otopower, Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle charging facilities (KBLBB) for four-wheeled electric vehicles spread across 13 The point uses a charging machine developed and produced by itself under the ALTRO brand. Forward, This four-wheeled KBLBB charging facility will increase according to the population of electric vehicles in Indonesia.
Besides that, Astra and PLN are also committed to supporting the acceleration of the use of new, renewable energy (EBT) through the installation of PLTS Rooftops on 94 locations spread across Indonesia with total capacity 10,94 megawatt peak (MWp). PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), Astra subsidiary, also entrusted with the provision of PLTS Rooftops amounting to 37,3 MWp to PLN via PT Indonesia Comnets Plus (PLN Icon Plus) to develop the implementation of solar photovoltaic (PV) Rooftop in Indonesia to support the achievement of the EBT mix target of 23% on 2025.
Through this strategic collaboration, Astra and PLN emphasize their commitment to fully contribute to accelerating the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem and increasing the supply of sustainable EBT sources in Indonesia.
