Otodiva – Utomo Charge+, charging solutions provider electric vehicle (EV) trusted in Indonesia, further emphasizes its commitment to providing easy and reliable charging access for EV users. Today, Utomo Charge+ signed a collaboration agreement with PT. KITB to develop commercial land in the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone to become the first super electric mobility hub in Indonesia, which will be equipped with 60 gun charging station.
This collaboration was inaugurated by the Managing Director of Utomo Charge+, Anthony Utomo, and Main Director of PT. BOOK, Ngurah Wirawan, dalam acara “GBC Commercial Launch: Empowering Sustainable Industrial Excellence” yang digelar di Jakarta.
Anthony Utomo explained that this super electric mobility hub is the largest and first EV charging center in Indonesia. With 60 gun ultra fast charging, This SPKLU is capable of serving various types of electric vehicles, from electric cars to electric buses and commercial trucks. “Kendaraan komersial berbasis listrik memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung dekarbonisasi sektor industri. The low carbon emissions of these vehicles increase their competitiveness. We are proud to be able to support a low carbon economy in this industrial area through the construction of a super electric mobility hub. This not only supports industrial decarbonization, tetapi juga menciptakan akses infrastruktur transportasi umum yang bersih dan berkelanjutan di sepanjang jalur Jakarta – Semarang,” ujar Anthony.
Further, Anthony stated that the presence of a super electric mobility hub in the KITB area is an important step in supporting the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia as well as helping the government reduce carbon emissions and achieve clean energy targets. “Kami optimis super electric mobility hub ini akan meningkatkan kenyamanan dan aksesibilitas bagi pengguna EV, as well as making a significant contribution to environmental conservation efforts in Indonesia. This is in line with the government's target for development 32.000 SPKLU up to 2030, which aims to accommodate potential 2,2 million units of battery-based four-wheeled electric vehicles (KBLBB) which is predicted to operate in Indonesia that year,” jelas Anthony.
Director of Marketing and Development PT. BOOK, Indri Septa Respati, stated that the super electric mobility hub will become a new icon of environmentally friendly mobility in Indonesia. This collaboration shows the commitment of PT. KITB in supporting the development of a resilient and sustainable EV ecosystem. “KITB adalah kawasan industri terdepan di Indonesia dengan komitmen kuat terhadap keberlanjutan. This is in line with Utomo Charge+'s vision as the first commercial cluster partner at KITB to accelerate the transition to the era of environmentally friendly mobility in Indonesia. Therefore, We entrust Utomo Charge+ as our partner to encourage green and sustainable initiatives in Indonesia by providing reliable charging infrastructure in the KITB area,” ungkap Indri.
Construction of this super electric mobility hub is planned to begin in the 4th quarter of this year 2024 and is expected to be completed in the 2nd quarter of the year 2025. With this facility, It is hoped that electric vehicle users will find it easier to access charging, supports more environmentally friendly mobility, and encouraging the reduction of carbon emissions in Indonesia.
