Otodiva – PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia has announced its latest initiative to expand its network of electric car charging stations (EV) in Indonesia. At the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024 at ICE BSD City, Hyundai signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a number of Charging Point Operator partners (CPO). This initiative aims to add more than 400 charging stations into Hyundai's charging network, so customers can enjoy the surroundings 97% private charging stations or more than 600 stations throughout Indonesia via the myHyundai application.

Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, say, “Electric vehicle adoption continues to grow. Hyundai, as the leader of vehicle electrification in Indonesia, ensure that customers can enjoy the product, service, and required infrastructure, includes easy-to-access charging stations. We are excited to collaborate with more CPO partners to bring renewable mobility closer to consumers at large. "This strategic step also emphasizes Hyundai's position as a game changer in the automotive industry which consistently innovates in accelerating vehicle electrification in Indonesia."

In this collaboration, Hyundai partners with trusted CPOs such as Casion, Voltron, Daya Green, Charge+, and Buzz. This synergy completes Hyundai's list of partners in efforts to develop a charging network in Indonesia. Previously, Hyundai has collaborated with Lippo Malls Indonesia and Pakuwon Malls Group as well as Plaza Indonesia to present the first Ultra Fast Charging Station facility in Indonesia.

EV Charging Service Program for Electric Car Owners

To complement charging network expansion efforts, Hyundai also launched an EV Charging Service Program for buyers of Hyundai electric cars. In this program, customers can enjoy a public charging quota of up to 50 kWh/month for 1 year, which can be used on Hyundai's EV Public Charging Network. This quota can be accessed via the myHyundai app or using the EV charging card provided.

This program is valid starting from GIIAS 2024. So, customers who purchased a Hyundai EV at GIIAS 2024 can immediately claim these benefits. This program will also continue after GIIAS 2024, with a public charging quota that can be used from August 2024.

This strategic collaboration between Hyundai and experienced CPO partners aims to provide a worry-free electric vehicle ownership experience, both in terms of products and services. Previously, Hyundai has introduced the all-new KONA Electric as the first electric vehicle to use locally produced batteries. Besides that, aftersales innovations like Hyundai are here for you: Hyundai Care, Hyundai Jamin has also extended its benefits to Hyundai EV users.
